David M. Havard, PT, DPT, CPT

David Havard is a 2022 graduate of Misericordia University, earning a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. In 2019, David graduated Magna Cum Laude from Misericordia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management.

Post graduation from DPT school, David expanded upon his skills, becoming a certified Active Release Technique (ART) provider with upper body, lower body, spine, and nerve certifications.

ART is a prestigious and coveted method for treating soft tissue injuries and managing soft tissue health for athletes of all levels. Often considered the gold standard for musculoskeletal care, ART is provided by healthcare professionals to manage the performance of athletes, sports teams, and organizations.

As a board-certified Physical Therapist, David has experience in an array of settings, including outpatient orthopaedics, home-based outpatient care, occupational health, sports, and ergonomic development. In these diverse settings, he has provided rehabilitation care for individuals with various injuries and post-surgical operation care involving complex cases for the entire musculoskeletal system.

Since 2018, David has been a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with the American Council on Exercise. As a CPT, he enjoys fitness coaching, strength, functional training, and developing working relationships. David has coached others in—and himself competed in—strength sports, powerlifting, and strongman. Some of his clients’ best accolades are state and national records in powerlifting, along with podium placements in strongman and national qualifying events.
