Our Mission
Our mission is to develop the athlete in front of us – not force them into a generic training model.
We combine objective assessment, experienced coaching, performance technology, sport-specific development, strength and conditioning, and clinical expertise to understand how each athlete moves, produces force, performs, and develops over time.
From young athletes building their foundation to college and professional athletes pursuing the smallest competitive advantage, every program is built around the individual’s needs, goals, physical qualities, and stage of development.
We measure what matters, identify what may be limiting performance, and build purposeful training around what the athlete needs next.
Build the athlete. Measure the progress. Prepare them for what comes next.
Our Approach
Training should never be guesswork.
Every athlete is different. Their movement, strength, speed, physical development, injury history, position, goals, and training experience all influence what they need.
That is why our process begins with understanding the athlete in front of us.
We combine experienced coaching, objective performance testing, sport-specific development, strength and conditioning, and clinical expertise to identify where an athlete is today and what needs to be developed next.
Programs are not built around templates. They are built around the individual.
We assess. We identify priorities. We build the plan. We measure progress. And as the athlete develops, the program develops with them.
Measure what matters. Train with purpose. Build what comes next.
Test. Measure. Identify. Build.
A strong training plan starts with knowing where the athlete actually stands.
Our Comprehensive Athlete Assessment creates a detailed performance profile by evaluating how an athlete moves, produces force, transfers energy, and performs.
Using professional coaching experience alongside VALD Performance Systems, we collect objective data across key areas of athletic performance.
Testing may include:
- Mobility and range of motion
- Strength
- Power and force production
- Speed
- Conditioning
- Movement quality
- Body control
- Arm health
- Physical asymmetries
- Movement restrictions
- Performance limitations
For baseball athletes, assessments can also include pitching or hitting mechanics, pitching velocity, and exit velocity.
Our performance technology includes:
- SmartSpeed timing gates
- DynaMo dynamometers
- ForceDecks force plates
- HumanTrak movement analysis
The purpose is not simply to collect numbers.
It is to understand what those numbers mean, identify the qualities that may be limiting performance, and use that information to guide training.
When physical limitations, pain, previous injuries, or other concerns require additional attention, athletes also have access to our on-site physical therapist.
Every athlete should leave the assessment with a clearer understanding of where they are, what they need, and where their training should go next.
Measure the athlete. Understand the athlete. Build the plan.
Build the foundation. Develop the athlete. Prepare for the future.
Youth development is about more than improving performance today.
It is about building the physical and technical qualities that allow an athlete to continue progressing for years to come.
Our Youth Athlete Development programs create structured, age-appropriate progression across movement, strength and conditioning, speed, hitting, pitching, arm care, coordination, and overall athletic development.
Young athletes learn how to:
- Move efficiently
- Control their bodies
- Create and transfer force
- Build strength appropriately
- Develop speed and coordination
- Train with intent
- Establish repeatable movement patterns
Objective testing through VALD Performance Systems allows us to monitor development and identify areas that may need additional attention as an athlete grows.
We do not believe in rushing young athletes toward advanced performance outcomes before the necessary foundation is in place.
The goal is to build the right qualities at the right time.
We are not simply trying to maximize the athlete today. We are building the athlete they can become.
Build the arm. Build the athlete. Build the foundation.
Long-term pitching development starts with much more than velocity.
Young pitchers need movement quality, physical preparation, body control, strength, arm care, and efficient mechanics before higher-level performance can be developed safely and effectively.
Our Youth Pitching Development program focuses on:
- Foundational pitching mechanics
- Mobility
- Arm care
- Strength and conditioning
- Movement development
- Body control
- Workload awareness
- Efficient force production
- Quality repetitions
Objective testing and movement analysis help us understand how each pitcher is developing and where additional work may be needed.
As the athlete becomes stronger, more coordinated, and more physically prepared, the program progresses with them.
The objective is to develop pitchers who can move efficiently, produce force, control their bodies, and better handle the increasing physical demands of pitching.
Velocity is developed. Durability is trained. Movement is built.
Build movement. Develop force. Create better hitters.
Effective hitting starts with an athlete who can move well.
Before chasing advanced swing mechanics, young hitters need to develop the ability to control their bodies, sequence movement, create force, and transfer that force efficiently.
Our Youth Hitting Development program combines technical development with athletic development.
Training may include:
- Foundational hitting mechanics
- Speed and agility
- Movement training
- Medicine-ball work
- Water-bag training
- Strength development
- Power development
- Coordination and body control
Athletes learn how to create and transfer force, sequence efficiently, and develop repeatable movement patterns at the plate.
Performance testing allows us to track qualities such as strength, speed, movement, and force production as the athlete develops.
Rather than forcing every hitter into the same mechanical model, we develop the individual athlete and allow their training to progress with them.
Build the athlete first. Then build the hitter.
Individualized training for athletes ready to take performance seriously.
As athletes mature, their training needs become increasingly individual.
Middle school and high school athletes should not be following the same generic program simply because they play the same sport.
Training needs to reflect the athlete’s:
- Body and movement profile
- Position
- Strengths and limitations
- Performance goals
- Training experience
- Physical development
- Competitive demands
Programs begin with assessment and objective testing to identify the highest-priority areas for development.
Depending on the athlete, training may include:
- Mobility
- Corrective work
- Arm care
- Strength
- Speed
- Power
- Conditioning
- Movement development
- Position-specific training
For pitchers, programming can focus on movement efficiency, velocity development, pitch characteristics, command, power, arm care, and the physical qualities required to withstand the demands of pitching.
For hitters and position players, training may focus on movement quality, force production, speed, strength, power, and higher-level hitting development.
Progress is measured throughout the process, allowing training to change as the athlete changes.
No templates. No guesswork. No wasted work. Purposeful training built around the individual.
Build the athlete—not just the position.
Sport-specific skill matters.
But underneath every successful athlete is a physical foundation.
Our Complete Athlete Training program is designed to develop the qualities that allow athletes to perform better across their sport.
Training can target:
Strength. Speed. Power. Mobility. Movement Quality. Conditioning. Coordination.
Every component has a purpose.
We combine assessment data, individual goals, and performance needs to determine which qualities should receive the greatest attention.
VALD Performance Systems allow us to establish objective baselines and track changes over time so progress can be measured rather than assumed.
Whether an athlete needs to become stronger, faster, more explosive, more mobile, more durable, or simply more physically capable, programming is designed around the person rather than a generic model.
Our goal is not just to train harder.
It is to identify what matters most and train it better.
Better athlete. Better performer. Better version of yourself.
Optimize performance. Attack limitations. Perform at the highest level.
At the college and professional levels, athletes are no longer simply building a foundation.
They are refining it.
Small improvements in strength, power, speed, movement efficiency, recovery, or workload management can create meaningful changes in performance.
Our College & Professional Training programs begin with a detailed understanding of the individual athlete, including:
- Assessment data
- Performance history
- Training history
- Positional demands
- Competitive schedule
- Workload
- Individual goals
Training may focus on:
- Strength
- Power
- Velocity development
- Movement efficiency
- Mobility
- Arm care
- Conditioning
- Speed
- Recovery
- Sport-specific performance
For baseball athletes, programming can be tailored around pitching, hitting, position play, workload, and the competitive calendar.
VALD Performance Systems allow us to quantify performance, establish baselines, identify potential limitations, and monitor how the athlete is adapting to training.
At this level, more training is not always better training.
The objective is to identify the qualities that can have the greatest impact on performance and continually adjust the program based on how the athlete responds.
Measure performance. Identify the next adaptation. Build the plan. Execute. Repeat.
Train with purpose. Perform at your best.
Athletic development does not end after high school or college.
Our Adult Training programs bring the same individualized approach used with competitive athletes to adults who want to move better, feel better, become stronger, improve performance, or simply become more physically capable.
Training can be built around:
- Strength
- Speed
- Power
- Mobility
- Conditioning
- Athletic performance
- Movement quality
- Body composition
- General physical capability
We begin by understanding where you are and what you want to accomplish.
From there, we build a program around your goals and abilities.
When appropriate, performance testing can establish objective baselines and track measurable improvements in areas such as strength, speed, movement, and force production.
Whether you are returning to a sport, maintaining an athletic lifestyle, pursuing a new physical goal, or beginning structured training for the first time, the approach remains the same:
Train with purpose. Measure progress. Become more capable.
Better information leads to better decisions.
Technology does not replace coaching.
It gives coaches better information.
Our facility uses VALD Performance Systems to objectively measure physical qualities that can be difficult to evaluate through observation alone.
Our technology includes:
ForceDecks
Force plate technology allows us to evaluate force production, power, asymmetries, and other qualities related to athletic performance and movement.
SmartSpeed
Timing gates provide objective speed and performance measurements, allowing athletes and coaches to establish baselines and monitor changes over time.
DynaMo
Dynamometry allows us to objectively evaluate strength and identify differences or limitations that may need additional attention.
HumanTrak
Movement analysis helps us better understand mobility, movement quality, range of motion, and physical restrictions.
Together, these tools allow us to replace assumptions with measurable information.
On-Site Physical Therapy
Performance and physical health are closely connected.
Our on-site physical therapist provides an additional layer of clinical expertise when athletes are dealing with pain, previous injuries, movement restrictions, mobility limitations, or other physical concerns.
This allows coaching and clinical expertise to work together when an athlete’s needs require it.
The result is a more complete understanding of the person we are training.
One Athlete. One Plan.
Athletes develop at different rates.
They move differently. They respond to training differently. They have different strengths, limitations, histories, and goals.
Their training should reflect that.
Our job is to understand the athlete, identify what matters most, and build a process that continues to move them forward.
Assess. Develop. Measure. Adjust. Repeat.
