Brett Paulson
Director of Hitting and Infield
Brett Paulsen is a recent 2024 graduate of Stony Brook University, where he was a five-year starter for the Seawolves baseball program. Originally from South Salem, NY, Brett starred at John Jay Cross River High School and did not miss a start throughout his four-year varsity tenure. He graduated as the school’s all-time hits leader with a remarkable career batting average of .460 — highlighted by an outstanding senior season in 2019, when he hit .575 and was named Westchester County Player of the Year runner-up. He finished his career as a 3x all section and 3x all state honoree.
At Stony Brook, Brett’s versatility shined. He began his collegiate career in the middle infield before transitioning to first base for his final three seasons. Over his career, he etched his name into the program’s record books — top 10 in Stony Brook history in at-bats and games played, and 12th in hits with 212. One of his most memorable moments was going 3-for-4 in the Seawolves’ upset victory over #1 ranked LSU.
Today, Brett combines his passion for baseball and education as a Teacher’s Assistant at Bell Middle School in Chappaqua, NY, where he also serves as the Modified Baseball Coach. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Physical Education at Manhattanville College while working to inspire and develop the next generation of ballplayers.
